SFJAZZ + PROXY present: A FREE COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY

SFJAZZ has partnered with PROXY to kick off the 33rd Annual San Francisco Jazz Festival with free outdoor performances by Brass Magic and Gaucho and a screening of a classic jazz film.

Fort Point Beer Co. will be on site pouring beer. You’ll find food trucks for every craving in Linden Alley: Minnie Bell’s, J-Shack, Me So Hungry, Tandoori Chicken, and Hiyaaa!. PROXY fixtures Ritual Coffee Roasters, Juice Shop and Smitten Ice Cream will be open for business as well.

Since 2010, PROXY has demonstrated the potential of temporary development to seed culture through its collection of art, design, retail, and community events. SFJAZZ is proud to kick off the 33rd Annual SF Jazz Festival at PROXY while also setting the stage for an ongoing collaboration aimed at exploring new contexts for its inimitable jazz programming.

The event also marks the beginning of PROXY’s Kickstarter campaign to raise money for a free community walk-in theater. You’ll find the latest updates on new incentives and other perks for backers here and on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
